During the first semester of my art education classes, I was introduced to the Cultural Arts Center of Ft. Worth, which is run by Evergreen Life Services.
Evergreen Life Services (ELS) is a charitable, non-profit organization that provides a full range of professional services to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). Founded in the 1950s, today we are proud to serve nearly 1,300 individuals with disabilities in 8 states.
In small groups, my classmates and I were tasked with coming up with a couple of holiday art lessons to teach to clients of Evergreen. We taught our group of students how to create multimedia "ugly sweaters," ornaments and a giftbox for the ornaments. For quick access to my lessons page so you can find the full lesson, click here.
